STEREOTYPES
If a person where to be tattooed in the early 19th century they would be stereotyped. Even now people who have tattoos are stereotyped, even if getting a tattoo is a common thing. Some people believe that individuals who have tattoos are mean, unsafe, and just not someone they would like to encounter. Some people also assume that because a person has tattoos that he/she isn't professional , but in reality there are many doctors, lawyers and other professionals with careers that have ink . Many "minority" groups have long complained about being judged solely on their appearance, People of these groups are automatically stereotyped into a class of certain expectations. The body art community is no exception. From schools to the work force to everyday life, people with body art are generally perceived as rebellious, irresponsible, unintelligent and sometimes even criminal.
